Talks from people who did the work
dxday is a one-day conference on developer experience in the AI era: how AI-assisted development is changing the way teams build software, and what platform and DevEx teams need to do about it. We want talks from people who shipped it, measured it and can show what happened at a real company. Tell us what you tried, what the numbers said and what you would do differently.
What we want to hear about
AI-assisted development in production
Coding agents and assistants at scale: adoption, guardrails, measured outcomes. Building and evaluating developer tools in the agentic era.
Measuring developer productivity in the AI era
What to measure when AI writes part of the code, beyond DORA and vanity metrics.
Platforms and DevEx as architecture
Golden paths, internal platforms and infrastructure for AI-augmented teams. Organisational and technical design choices that shape developer experience.
Cognitive load and flow
Review bottlenecks, context switching, and how AI helps or hurts.
AI operations and cost
AI agents in incident response, on-call, observability and reliability engineering. Open-source vs vendor models, self-hosting trade-offs, token economics and controlling the cost of AI-assisted development at scale.
Honest failure stories
AI and DevEx initiatives that didn’t work, and what they taught you.
